Karm secures further government backed R&D funding

Following a successful acquisition of government backed Research & Development funding via the Technology Strategy Board, the UK’s innovation agency, Karm Research Group are pleased to announce that the Hybrid Cylinders project is now in its second phase and gearing up towards the expected 2014 launch.

The Technology Strategy Board was established by the UK Government and operates as a business-led executive non-departmental public body (NDPB) which is funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).

In their appraisal of Karm’s Hybrid Cylinder technology, the TSB commented that the technology provides “significant advance in printing technology, a revolutionary new approach to the manufacture of a hybrid material based Gravure cylinder for high quality printing that will change the face of the printing market evermore”

Karm have been working with PNO Consultants as part of the Research & Development funding process and the total committed investment into the project has now reached £650,000.
