Hybrid Cylinders to preview at Gravure Association of the Americas Technical Forum

The GAA (Gravure Association of the Americas) Technical Forum in Charlotte, North Carolina on the 17th & 18th September is where the industry is scheduled to meet and hear about the latest best practices and technological innovations in the gravure sector.

Hybrid Cylinders Ltd are pleased to announce that its new size variable gravure cylinder is scheduled to be previewed during the discussions on Latest Global Technology.

Whilst our size variable gravure cylinder has been mentioned at previous forums, those mentions came at a time when the project was in the early stages of development, whereas the September GAA Forum comes at a time when the technology has progressed beyond the development stages, and is in the process of print trials with early adopters of the technology.

Hybrid Cylinders technology has been previously tipped as a “game changer” by the UK’s Technology Strategy Board, and whilst the TSB issued two grants to assist in the development of the project, the positive comments from the TSB are testament to the hard work from all the team involved in the development of the hybrid cylinder project.

The GAA (Gravure Association of the Americas) Technical Forum will include speeches from industry leaders such as Trident, Janoschka, Sun Chemical, Bobst, DCM, Sonoco, Amcor, American Packaging and Cerutti and it represents an exciting time for the business and for directors Mark Jones and Lee Oakley.

At present, Hybrid Cylinders is only available to our early adopters but it is expected that the technology will be offered to the wider market, in early 2015.
